Sucheta Kadthankar becomes the first Indian woman to run 1,600 km in Asia's largest desert Mongolia in Asia, July 15, 2011. In the Gobi 2011 campaign, the desert explorer was part of the 13-member team of nine countries under the leadership of Ripley Davenport. This campaign was fixed by four-wheel drive truck, local Mongolian guide and 12 Bactian camels.
Sucheta Kadthankar was initially a journalist. After this he became an IT professional working as a Lead Professional Developer in Simantec. His hobby is, the adventure game involved in mountain, cycling, river crossings and desert pedestrians. He has taken part in Trekking in Mount Everest Base Camp and Annapurna base camp in 2008. Gobi Trek, which completed Kadathankar, was the title "Gobi Crossing 2011", which was a program organized by the Explore Foundation of Ireland.
