Rajkumari Amrit Kaur (हिंदी: राजकुमारी अमृत कौर; Born - February 2, 1889, Uttar Pradesh; Died - October 2, 1964) was a noted Gandhian, freedom fighter and social activist from India. She was the Minister of Health for ten years in the Indian Cabinet after the independence of the country. She has the honor of being the first woman cabinet minister of the country. Rajkumari Amrit Kaur belonged to the royal family of Kapurthala. Rajkumari Amrit Kaur was born on February 2, 1889 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His father Raja Harnam Singh was the Raja of Kapurthala, Punjab and mother was Rani Harnam Singh.
